Thousands still affected by New Zealand Telecom XT network fault
WELLINGTON, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The major fault in New Zealand Telecom's new XT mobile network continued to affect thousands of customers in the South Island on Thursday.
Tens of thousands of customers south of Taupo were unable to access the replica rolex mobile phone network for several hours on Wednesday because of the fault which occurred at about 11:00 a.m. local time.
The majority of customers had coverage restored by Wednesday night but an estimated 10,000 in the South Island were still unable to access the service on Thursday evening.
Telecom chief executive Paul Reynolds said technicians worked throughout Wednesday night to try to restore service. Teams in China and Replica prada wholesale France were helping to diagnose the problem.
Reynolds told Radio New Zealand that 40 of the 1,000 cell sites south of Christchurch remained affected and hoped the problem would be solved some time on Thursday morning.
However, in its update at 05:30 p.m. local time Thursday, Telecom said customers in the lower South Island including Dunedin, Invercargill, Timaru and Queenstown still cannot place or receive calls, while XT users in other areas are still experiencing intermittent service issues.
This week's breakdown is the second major fault since December and comes less than a year after Telecom launched the XT network.
Telecom has apologized for the breakdown, saying the rolex fake level of reliability on its XT network is far below what customers expected.
